Kaniere Hotel, just a stone's throw from Hokitika Airport, is a charming old Kiwi country pub oozing with character. Despite its worn exterior, the interior pleasantly surprised me with its comfy, well-furnished accommodations. the shared TV lounge and kitchen facilities were convenient, and the warm welcome drink set the tone for a delightful stay. Although the thin walls allowed for some noise transfer, the pet-friendly atmosphere and friendly staff more than made up for it. the ongoing refurbishments hinted at future improvements, adding to the overall appeal. Whether you're a solo traveler or with a furry companion, Kaniere Hotel offers great value for money and a cozy retreat in the heart of the West Coast.
